5G: How Useful Will It Be?

There is lots of talk about 5G and how good it will be once it’s rolled out nationally – but just how useful will it be?

To teenagers now with smartphones and internet access 24/7 the idea of mobile data not being available everywhere will seem alien however before the days of 2G that is exactly what life was like. Of course, 4G improved things and now there is lots of talk about 5G and how good it will be once it’s rolled out nationally – but just how useful will it be?

 

Accessing Faster Internet

We’re beginning to rely on the internet for more and more tasks day to day, so for many people super-fast internet is considered an essential, and they’re not really exaggerating. Remote working, watching TV, talking to friends and even playing games are things that we all do every day via the internet. What Can We Do with 5G?

Do We Need It?

As we become more reliant on the internet, a solid connection that we can rely on will become more of a necessity – and for many people that is already the case. Even beyond that, remote working is giving people the opportunity to do things like travel while working, giving them a much better work/life balance – which can only be a good thing. So, the roll-out of 5G is well under way, more and more cities are seeking planning applications for 5G masts and for many, it really can’t come soon enough.
