5G Conspiracy Nonsense
Conspiracy theorists claiming 5G masts cause Covid-19 and its spread couldn't be more wrong, scientists say.

Several conspiracy theories linking 5G masts and Covid-19 spread have been tied to dozens of attacks on telecommunications engineers and masts in the United Kingdom.
Conspiracy theorists claim that the symptoms of the coronavirus are caused by electromagnetic radiation coming from the 5G masts installed across the United Kingdom. They pointed out that the antennas have continued to be deployed despite nationwide lockdown and questioned why network engineers are not forced to stay home like everyone else. Some have gone to Facebook calling for the harassment of engineers and celebrating damage to the masts, with one post claiming "we are being murdered by the world government".
Experts say that scientists know and understand the risks of electromagnetic radiation. This is the reason why the power that telecommunications masts are able to broadcast is tightly regulated. The radiation emitted by 5G is incapable of breaking molecular bonds, knocking off electrons from atoms and causing the molecule to have an electric charge - which provokes the main health dangers associated with electromagnetic radiation. Because of this, there is just no way for 5G technology to cause Covid-19 symptoms.
Covid-19, which is a strain of the novel coronavirus, is believed to have emerged from coronavirus bats and crossed over to humans in 2019. Coronaviruses show spike proteins emerging from the cell envelope and looks a bit like a crown. These spike proteins are molecules on the outside of the virus, which it uses to grab hold of and penetrate the outer walls of human cells. Scientists say that this is proof that the virus evolves organically and was not created in a laboratory.
