5G at Bristol Harbour Festival 2019

Bristol Harbour Festival 2019 to become the second UK festival to use 5G technology next to Glastonbury Festival.

Bristol Harbour Festival 2019 organisers have confirmed that 5G technology, which debuted at Glastonbury Festival last month, will be used at this year’s event.

 

 

 

The next generation mobile network will enable attendees to live stream 360° footage from the three main stages on their smart phones as well as two 'secret performances' exclusively for viewers of the 360° footage.

 

 

 

Part-funded by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport, the initiative is being delivered by a consortium led by WECA and partners that include Bristol City Council, Mativision, Zeetta Networks and University of Bristol’s Smart Internet Lab.
