New research has looked into tea-drinking and the UK as a nation

A new study has confirmed the idea that Britain may enjoy drinking tea! The survey – which involved 2,000 individuals – was carried out by WRVS. It found the following results;
- That one quarter of people have at least five cups of tea each day
- Each person has three cups of tea per day on average
- That many said they like strong tea
- Very few expressed that their preference was to use a saucer as well as a cup
- One fifth of Britons enjoy making tea with a teapot
It is believed that the research was done in order to raise money, as the charity aims to help with issues concerning loneliness when it comes to people in the later stages of their life. The charity has been around for 75 years.
So, even though there are many places that promote coffee these days as well as other drinks, it seems that Brits have something in common when it comes to hot drinks – that many enjoy a cup of tea!
