Let’s not waste another second and dive into our list now!
Paris, France
Kicking off our list is the city of love, Paris! France’s capital city is a fantastic place to visit on your trip to Europe. From beautiful architecture to stunning art, and incredible food, Paris is a wonderful place to be.
The city is easy to explore, thanks to a comprehensive Metro system that is easy to navigate. Accommodation can be found in a reasonable place too, especially if you are willing to stay a little further out in the city.
Climb the Eiffel Tower, visit the Mona Lisa, or take a visit to PSG’s stadium, there is so much to see and do in Paris!
Rome, Italy
Another city you must visit is Rome in Italy. Rome, again, is the perfect place for couples in love, sightseers, or anyone looking to soak up some culture! The city has many attractions to check out, including the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, and of course, fantastic food!
Transport around Rome and Italy, in general, is fantastic. You can extend your trip by taking the train to Venice, Florence, Pompeii, or Naples, all of which offer more to see of Italy’s fantastic culture.
Amsterdam, Netherlands
That’s right, we have another city break! Amsterdam in the Netherlands is a must-see place in Europe! You can expect endless canals, bridges, bicycles, and more! Amsterdam is known for its Red Light District, legalized marijuana, and sensational architecture.
A boat ride down the canals will provide you with a unique view of the city while walking tours of the Red Light District show you that the city is more than what meets the eye. The Anne Frank Museum, Van Gogh Exhibition, and Body Works Museum provide you with an insight into all aspects of the city and its long history.
There is a lot of walking in Amsterdam, or you can join the locals and hire a bike. Be warned, the roads can be tough to get to grips with at first!
Santorini, Greece
If you want to soak up the sun, there is no better place than Santorini! The Greek island is hugely popular for a reason, but if you want to beat the crowds, head there towards the end of September.
Santorini is filled with picturesque white and blue houses that scream Greece. It will feel as though the sun never sets, with wonderful food, wine, and views to enjoy. Santorini’s flooded volcanic crater is a must-visit, along with the black sand beaches, and hot springs.
The southern part of the island is quieter with fewer tourists, and other Greek islands can be reached by boat. Santorini can be an expensive destination, so we recommend shopping around and considering last-minute deals.
Lake District, England
Finally, we head to England to the glorious Lake District. Nestled in the North-west of England, you have breathtaking mountains and views like no other! You can fly into Liverpool or Manchester airport and hire a car to drive North to the Lake District.
Windermere is one of the most popular parts of the Lakes, but you can find accommodation in quieter parts too. From boutique hotels to wild camping, there is something for everyone here.
When planning a trip to the Lake District, come prepared! Weather can be unpredictable, so light layers are your best bet! Maps of the area and some walking routes are a good idea too, you don’t want to get lost trying to enjoy the breathtaking views!
