Whether you're on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or pretty much any other social media platform, you're bound to see people doing ridiculous things and then hashtagging it for the world to see.
They may be weird, but these challenges add a ton of much-needed levity to our lives. On the lookout for some challenges that you and your friends and family can do at home? Look no further. Here are five amazing challenges that have been trending all summer long.
1. #BinIsolationOuting

People everywhere are somehow finding entertaining ways of taking out the trash. This trend is particularly popular in Australia, where people are using the hashtag #BinIsolationOuting and a popular Facebook group to show off their fun and inventive ways of doing this menial chore.
By dressing up as superheroes, animals, and cartoon characters to take out the trash, people are amusing both themselves and their neighbors. It's a great way to show off your creativity while bringing joy to everyone else on your street that you may not be able to speak to in person. The best part? Kids love it. What's better than looking out the window and seeing a dinosaur taking out the trash?
So what are you waiting for? Whether you're a theatre-enthusiast with costumes on standby or a makeup artist looking to test out your skills, the #BinIsolationOuting challenge is for you!
2. #QuarantineBingo

Instagram has become rife with quarantine bingo templates. The reason? They're fun, usually funny, and almost always have good ideas for activities you can do at home.
The game itself is pretty straightforward, especially if you've played the legendary world-famous game of Bingo. You simply mark off the spaces on the template of activities or tasks you've completed and hope that you get five in a row! This challenge is super easy to participate in, so why not send it to your friends and family to compare answers?
You can find templates with different themes all over Instagram under the #QuarantineBingo hashtag. Most cards include things like "Baked Bread," "Binged a Netflix Show," and "Got Takeout." There's probably templates with some darker humor out there like "Cried Daily" or "Screamed into Pillow," but it's up to you how wholesome you'd like the game to be.
3. #BetweenArtandQuarantine

Art lovers rejoice! There's a social media challenge for you too. The #BetweenArtandQuarantine challenge is asking internet users to create their own funny and inventive replicas of famous works of art. That means everything from Van Gogh's "The Scream" to Michelangelo's "David" is being recreated by people around the world, usually using household items. That includes toilet paper, food, furniture, recycled materials, and even pets! Some people are even recreating famous movie scenes with their roommates.
This is the perfect challenge for anyone missing museums and art galleries. #BetweenArtandQuarantine lets you have your own art exhibit at home! It's a hilarious and wholesome challenge for you to take on between trying new recipes and taking online classes. It pretty much guarantees a laugh or two from your friends online.
4. #PillowChallenge

The #PillowChallenge has been a favorite of internet users on both Twitter and Facebook this summer. The pillow challenge asks fashion enthusiasts to make a chic outfit with just pillows and a belt. The pose is essential, of course. It makes for a pretty hilarious photo that everyone from your best friend to your grandma will get a kick out of.
If you have a pillow, a belt, and a housemate willing to take some photos of you, then you're good to go! The #PillowChallenge is both fun to do and easy to pull off! That all being said, the best part of the challenge will be how totally glamorous and fashion-forward you'll look.
5. #MeAt20
(Source)
This challenge has been taking Twitter by storm ever since April when Lin-Manuel Miranda posted his amazing #MeAt20 photo. #MeAt20 challenges users to post photos of themselves from when they were, you guessed it, 20. This challenge is extra fun for older folks who use social media but may not want to participate in some of the wackier challenges. The #MeAt20 provides opportunities for people to post a look into an entirely different era. Whether the photo itself is overtly funny or not really doesn't matter.
It's a hashtag you'll find yourself scrolling through all afternoon long, so why not join in on the fun? Lin-Manuel's photo of himself dressed as Jennifer Lopez might be hard to top, but we're sure you have something amazing hidden in your camera roll. Too young to participate? Send this article to your parents or grandparents! The photos and stories they have might surprise you.
