Many people in the UK will have probably woken up this morning and checked for updates on the royal baby – has the baby been named yet? What else has been happening since the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed their baby boy into the world yesterday, 22nd July, 2013, at 16.24 BST?
Well, as of time of writing, the name of their baby boy is not yet known, however, what is clear is that many people have offered the royal couple their congratulations following the birth of the royal baby.
Figureheads from across the globe have been congratulating the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
In the UK PM David Cameron said: “It is wonderful news from St Mary’s Paddington, and I am sure right across the country and right across the Commonwealth people will be celebrating and wishing the royal couple well.
“It is an important moment in the life of our nation, but I suppose above all it is an important moment for a warm and loving couple who have got a brand new baby boy.
“It has been a remarkable few years for our royal family. And they can know that a proud nation is celebrating with a very proud and happy couple tonight.”
Prince William was at St. Mary’s Hospital in London with his wife Kate Middleton for the birth of their first-born who is third in line to the throne.
