10. Toyota ($35.3 billion)
According to CNET News, Interbrand works out the value of each company's brand "based on a combination of the company's financial performance, its role influencing consumer choices, and how well the brand lets a company charge premium prices and deliver profits"
Using that formula, car giant Toyota drives into the top 10 with a (relatively) small $35.3 billion. Expanding on a popular "Let's Go Places" ad campaign in the US and steady sales of the Prius, Toyota (who are the world's leading manufacturer of hybrid vehicles) finds its strength in fuel economy, enjoying a rebound in a time where most automotive companies struggle.
