Sony Heads to Liverpool

Sony Interactive Entertainment to open Liverpool city centre office.

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is set to relocate from Wavetree Technology Park to Liverpool ECHO's former home. The firm has signed a deal and will occupy 65,000 sq ft of space at the city centre location. The office will include spaces for "collaboration and entertainment", a cafe, staff gym and an "expansive" rooftop terrace. 

 

A statement read: "The new location is intended to attract and retain the best talent in the area, as well as allow SIE to better connect with peers in the local tech, business, and academic communities."

 

The move comes after SIE acquired Liverpool videogame studio Firesprite for an undisclosed sum in September 2021.
