Many studies say that this can turn bad people away. Cameras can also be used to monitor an elderly family member and pets, for example.
Creating a smart home requires installing a network that will enable you to connect all your smart devices and appliances. Currently, some of the most popular smart home devices are voice assistants and smart thermostats. Voice-controlled assistants, such as Amazon Echo and Google Home act as your intelligent personal assistant. You can ask them to play music, order your pizza or Uber, remind you of your appointment and fetch you a recipe from the internet, among others.
Smart thermostats, on the other hand, can be programmed to automatically control your heating or cooling system. This way, you can go home greeted with your desire temperature. You can also save on your utility bills because your heating or cooling system will be automatically turned off when not in use.
