Football fans who are looking for technological advancements that can enhance their match-day experiences may get the chance to take advantage of a smart scarf, a gadget equipped with a biometric sensor that measures heart rate, body temperature and emotional responses. 

 

Select Manchester City fans will be offered the smart scarf next season. The latest in wearable technology integrates a biometric sensor into the fabric that sits discreetly on the neck. The Connected Scarf captures the body's bio-signals throughout a match. 

 

Ashley Marusak, the Global Sports Marketing Manager for Cisco, which helped develop the product, said: “In our work with City over the past few years, we’ve continuously looked for ways to connect fans to the sport they love, on another level,”
