Cisco 8865 video VoIP phone
CIS Secure Computing Inc. gets approval for Cisco 8865 video VoIP phone.
17:36 10 April 2018
CIS Secure Computing Inc (CIS) has confirmed the TSG type acceptance of a modified Cisco 8865 HD video-enabled VoIP phone (models DTD-8865-01/01). The said phone is now the world’s first video-enabled VoIP phone with TSG security.
Under the TSG type-acceptance program, all telephones used in sensitive discussion must be physically incapable of producing any microphonic audio or intelligent video on any wires. Any unmodified VoIP telephone can allow eavesdropping due to their architecture and Ethernet capabilities. This makes Cisco 8865 HD video-enabled VoIP phone an ideal tool for the government as well as commercial clients where protecting trade secrets, sensitive information and proprietary data is paramount.
CIS, which is based in Dulles, Virginia, is the worldwide market leader for TSG-approved VoIP instruments and devices, including conference phones and USB solutions for soft phone applications, such as Skype and Jabber. The company is the provider of TSG, TEMPEST and modified COTS solutions for the US Government and other entities.
